Seco Pharma Bio-Tech Co.,Ltd, located in No. 1 Chao Yang Road of SuzhouIndustrial Park and only 60 kilo away from ShanghaiHongqiaoAirport, is a specialty manufacturer of Nucleosides and Nucleotides – raw materials for genic drugs. It covers a land of 38,000 m2.

With over RMB36,000,000 of fixed assets and more than 200 employees among which 20% are college graduates, it manufactures not only such principal raw materials as 5-Methyluridine, β-Thymidine and 3',5'-Anhydrothymidine for anti-Aids drugs (Cocktail Therapy) -- Zidovudine (AZT) and Stavudine (D4T), but also such chief raw materials as 2'-Deoxycytidine, 2'-Deoxyuridine, 5'-CMP and 5'-UMP for anti-virus and anti-tumor drugs as well as drugs for special cardiovascular and genetic diseases. The Company was listed as Hi-tech Enterprise in Jiangsu Province by Jiangsu Provincial Scientific Department in 2002. Itsβ-Thymidine was recognized as Hi-tech Product in Jiangsu Province and incorporated into the Provincial Torch Plan Project in the same year. In 2003, its 5'-CMP was incorporated into the Provincial Key Hi-tech Project.

Production and Operation

The Company is based on the concept of Dedication to Human Health. A comprehensive scientific management system is in place. The Company is ISO9001:2000 and ISO14001:1996 certified, with the Quality Management System and the Environmental Management System in proper practice. It also makes continuous investment in various conventional experiment facilities and test instruments for its sophisticated laboratory where three experiment groups can work simultaneously. Ten professional technical engineers with college degrees or above focus on technology innovation and process improvement, technically underpinning commercial production.
